Dear Colleagues, Scientists and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would extend a warm welcome to all of the distinguished speakers and participants of the 8TH EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON PREDICTIVE, PREVENTIVE & PERSONALIZED MEDICINE (PPPM) AND MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS which is to be held during August 20-21, 2018 in the Great and Ancient Rome to illustrate the Academic Capital of Country and the Cultural Capital of the Globe. Building on the success of the preceding meetings, the Conference will feature a highly interactive, stimulating and multidisciplinary program including initiatives to address the entire patient-physician pathway and to look beyond the scientific topics alone.

PPPM as the Medicine of the Future is a new philosophy and new culture that should be promoted early in life with all tools and programs available. Today PPPM is becoming the strategic mainstream of medical science and research, and significantly influences the future of the care based on the evidence-based and translational medical research, the needs and the challenges in daily medicine, the healthcare services networks, and the strategies of biopharma and healthcare industry as well.

In this context, our universities were among the first academic institutions in Europe who had laid a first and still virgin brick into the foundation of a novel medical strategy whilst setting up two brilliant stones, i.e., Center for Personalized Medicine and Department for Translational Medicine. And the Director and Faculty Chair of above-mentioned, respectively, and thus being the Russian Ambassador, let me discuss issues of possible mutual interest with medical professionals, researchers, clinicians and healthcare specialists who have been tackling the advancing innovations of PPPM.

PPPM and its armamentarium are becoming the strategic mainstream of biomedical science and healthcare services, and significantly influences the future of the personalized healthcare based on the evidence-based and translational medical research. You will be able to share experiences and research results, discuss challenges encountered and solutions adopted and have opportunities to establish productive new academic and industry research collaborations. The Conference provides a unique opportunity for university leaders, educators, clinicians, bioengineers, experts and scholars of higher education from all over the world to convene and share novel ideas on crucial issues and trends in the area of regenerative medicine. The Conference will thus provide enough space for discussion, meetings and workshops in order to allow a close contact between speakers and visitors.

Track 1: Molecular Diagnostics in Personalized Medicine

In personalized medicine molecular diagnostics is used for analysing of biological markers and also analysing by applying molecular biology to medical testing .This technique is used to diagnose and monitor disease, detect risk in individual patients .DNA sequencing is the process of determining the precise order of nucleotides within a DNA  molecule .SNP genotyping is the measurement of genetic variations of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs).which is the measurement of more general genetic variation. Gene expression profiling is used for the measurement of the activity of thousands of genes at once.

Track2: Biomarkers Personalized Medicine

In personalized medicine biomarkers and biological marker generally refers to a measurable indicator  of some biological state or condition. This word refers to a substance the presence of which indicates the existence of a living organism. Biochemical biomarkers are often used in clinical trials, Biomarkers used for personalized medicine are typically categorized as either prognostic or predictive .In, a biomarkers is a molecule that allows the detection and isolation of a particular cell type.  A biomarker indicates a change in state of a protein that correlates with the risk or progression of a disease . Biomarkers are useful in a number of ways, including measuring the progress of disease. Biomarkers also used in early diagnosis, disease prevention, drug target identification, drug response etc.

The proteome is the entire set of proteins it is expressed by genome , cell, tissue, or organism at a certain time. More specifically, it is a combined of proteins and genomes . Proteomics is the study of the proteome. A cellular  proteome is the collection of proteins present in a particular cell type and it exposure to harmone stimulation . It can also be useful to consider an organisms complete proteome, which can be conceptualized as the complete set of proteins from all of the various cellular proteomes. Proteome used to refer to the collection of proteins in certain sub-cellular biological systems.

The FDA is  already started to take initiatives to integrate personalized medicine into their regulatory policies.They developed a report in October 2013 entitled Paving the Way for Personalized Medicine FDAs role in a New Era of Medical Product Development in which they outlined steps they would have to take to integrate genetic and biomarker information for clinical use and drug development. They determined that they would have to develop specific regulatory science standards, research methods, reference material and other tools in order to incorporate personalized medicine into their current regulatory practices. For example, they are working on a genomic reference library for regulatory agencies to compare and test the validity of different sequencing platforms in an effort to uphold reliability.
